Gus

Gus was 24 years old. He had just completed another semester of college. He had done well. He had many friends he visited and spent time with. He was a musician playing both guitar and drums. His life was full and he had re-established a closer bond with his dad. They bowled together and laughed and had fun. When he visited with us he always found time for me. He brought me the most wonderful Mother's Day gift and recently after knee surgery he brought this little vase of flowers he picked just for me. The weekend he died he came to me when I was sitting at the computer to give me a hug and kiss goodbye. I hugged his leg and told him I wish he would not go visit the friend he was planning on visiting. My words were "Something bad always happens when you go there." He reassured me that nothing BAD would happen and he would be okay. Sunday morning July 4th I got a call from a police officer informing me my son had been in a serious accident and I should stay by my phone. It was only later after getting to the hospital and my son was dead that I found out he was merely walking along the road and a car veered from the other side and ran him down. He was badly injured and even after 2 hours could not be saved. My heart aches for him. We are a close family and he has 7 siblings but that 8th spot is now empty. I can't get through the days with out my heart breaking. I miss him and want him back. I know of the spirit world and all that means but I want him here with me. It all seems so pointless....why live life when a walk down a road can end it. When someone else through negligence runs you down. I miss him so much. I love you GussieBill my darling baby son. MOM
